I am 4-0 in MLB since I started using real money on Bookmaker.com, so I figured it's time to jinx myself by writing about my picks.
I like the Mets (-109) to beat the Marlins because they just let Santana down by blowing that game. The Mets are especially paranoid about choking because they are the Mets, so I expect them to be rejuvinated. The Mets are a .500 team so they are probably thinking that they need to get above .500. The Marlins are 28-27 so they are probably thinking "ehhh we can lose one and still be .500"....

This thread will probably be moved, but I don't know where it goes exactly and so I'll just drop it here to maximize the number of people who see it.
Nick Manning's SBR Streak For the Cash Bracket
How to Enter the Bracket
1. Give this post 20 SBR points to cover the entrance fee. Make a post saying you are entering.

1. Bet anything from Bookmaker.com. Just post your pick, the odds, and your "betting order" (the order of your bets so that you do not have to wait for one game to end before the other one...

A few days ago I was sitting pretty with over 700 SBR points. Since then, my account has plummeted to 400. I sort of stopped doing blogs at about the same time I started my losing streak.
This will be a blog where I analyze each NBA game and then post a range of spreads that I think is appropriate.
76ers @ Hawks- The Hawks started off the season strong, and now they have to prove whether or not they are truly an upper tier team. They are in a similar position Orlando was in last year. I don?t think...

I like the Wizards +2 over the Bulls tonight. If you think the Wizards aren?t getting enough points, consider this: The Wizards lost to the Bulls by 2 in their last meeting 121-199 in double overtime, and have only lost by more than 2 points 6 out of 15 times since. We think the Wizards suck, but what do the Wizards think? They are confused as to why people haven?t noticed that the Wizards are competitive very consistently. Last night they lost to the Raptors as expected, but they led by 9 in the 4th quarter. Now they won?t get...

I have not seen any of the NBA spreads yet. I am going to give my opinion for what the spread should be, and then I am going to see which games have a great value. I did this once already and got about half right, but I am confident in my abilities because the games I get right I tend to also guess the reason for the win very accurately. Here I go.
Spurs @ 76ers
The 2007 champs barely squeaked out their game against Indiana after exceeding expectations in Denver. Now they are playing Philadelphia, who almost came back from...

THE EAST
I keep hearing that the Cavs would be close to dead last in the league without Lebron. These people are experts in the game itself (although not in picking winners) so I will trust them. That being said, the teams that trust one man to carry a team will not win in the playoffs. The Mavs can't win with just Dirk, the Heat can't win with just Dwane, and the Cavs can't win with just Lebron. Dwane Wade and Dirk Nowitski can beat about half of the teams by themselves. Dirk has a better team than Dwane, but neither...

In this article (in which I would appreciate some SBR points :) ) I am going to describe each NBA game today and then give you my opinion of what the point spread should be. I can already tell, some are going to be much different than the actual spread. If you agree with me, you can use this information to make your own picks.
Miami at Philadelphia
Philadelphia has faint playoff hopes and they are coming off an incredibly close loss against Toronto. They would have come back from 20+ if that white guy on the Raptors didn?t get fouled...

Both teams are surging through bad teams but Philadelphia is more likely to retain their motivation. Toronto does have the advantage having 3 days off to Philadelphia?s 1 day off, but Philadelphia has been playing well off of one day?s rest this season. Toronto barely won the last one, so the emotion favors Philadelphia. This will be a close game.
Value: Philadelphia +7.
Guarantee: Philadelphia +10.
The Kings are rolling after their win in NY. Detroit is also on a roll, but they are used to being better than Sacramento, so they may not be as motivated. The Kings will be tired...

This years? super bowl will be a battle between two QBs: Manning and Brees. I don?t really think any of the other players will have much of an impact. That?s what happens when everyone except the quarterback is a team player who wants nothing but his quarterback win the super bowl. I?m picking the Saints.
Overhyped teams tend to get off to a bad start, and since this matchup will come down to which QB is better, then I believe the overhyped QB will lose. Which QB is more overhyped?
Media?s Consensus on Manning: Possibly greatest QB of all time.
Consensus on Brees:...
